24 Delhi policemen get medals on Independence Day
Constable Sharief-ud-din Ganaie and Head Constable Mohd Tafail of the CRPF have been decorated with the President's Police Medal.
New Delhi: Twenty four officials of the Delhi police have been decorated with the President’s Police Medals for meritorious and distinguished service on the eve of Independence Day 2018.
Spl.CP (crime) Satish Golchha, a 1992 batch IPS, along with ACP Rajender Singh Yadav and Sandeep Pali, ACP will be awarded Presi-dent’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service.
While Delhi’s encou-nter specialist DCP (special cell) Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, along with his team ACP Lalit Mohan Negi, Hridaya Bhushan, Ramesh Chander Lam-ba, and SI Sukhbir Sin-gh will be awarded Pol-ice Medal for Gallantry services.
Apart from this Addl.CP Amarendra K Singh, Addll. DCP Raje-ndra S. Sagar, ACP Birjender S. Rai, Sanjay Dutt, Insp. Vijay K. Sin-gh, Survesh Kumar, SI Moti Lal, ASI Ram Kishan, HC Rajneesh Tyagi, Rambir Singh, Jai Bhagwan, Gajender Singh including four women cops SI Anita Kalia, Nirmal Kumari, ASI Rajni Malik and HC Anju Sandhya Minj will be awarded Police Medal for Meritorious Service.

Constable Sharief-ud-din Ganaie and Head Constable Mohd Tafail of the CRPF have been decorated with the President's Police Medal for Gallantry (PPMG) posthumously even as 89 other personnel from the force have been awarded the Police Medal for Gallantry (PMG) for undertaking dare-devil action in militancy-affected Jammu and Kashmir and anti-Naxal operations in various states.
