New Delhi: Alleging that the Ryan International School owner is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday said that the saffron unit is now trying its best to save the owners. It said that there is widespread anger against the gruesome murder of a seven-year-old boy for which the school’s administration is responsible for negligence. It questioned the Haryana government’s lax attitude in the case and alleged that it is trying to protect the owners.

AAP national spokesperson Ashutosh said that while the entire nation is mourning the loss of the murdered seven-year-old, the BJP government is working to save the owner of the school, Grace Pinto.

“Mr Pinto is actually a BJP member and it is also being said that he had even launched a campaign in favour of the saffron party in the school, urging the children to join the party. Mr Pinto has been holding the post of director of the publicly-owned Cotton Corporation of India since February 2 this year,” he said.

According to a report published in a newspaper, a member of Mr Pinto’s family had been found accused in the manipulation of the stock market.

“This was found by a SEBI report. The BJP not only gives membership to such people, but also elevates them to the post of director of the government’s undertaking and then works to save them after the killing of an innocent in a school,” he alleged.

The Delhi government had asked for a CBI probe when last year a child had died after falling into a tank in the school. However, the BJP government did not show any interest in the probe. “That time also the owners were shielded by the party like this time,” he added.
