Delhi BJP concerned over rise in diseases

New Delhi: The Delhi BJP on Tuesday expressed grave concern over sudden increase in cases of dengue and chickungunya in the national capital during the first fortnight of this month. The party claimed that most of Delhi government hospitals were, till date, not prepared to meet any situation of medical contingency as witnessed in past two years. 

Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari said that it was really sad that chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, instead of concentrating on the situation, was trying to use public awareness hoardings for his own political promotion.

“The Kejriwal government continues to play dirty politics by delaying proper financial support to the civic bodies, which have to employ domestic breeding checkers to check mosquito breeding,” Mr Tiwari said.

“Today our party workers made surprise checks but found that apart from LNJP Hospital, most Delhi government hospitals have still not formed dedicated fever clinics for dengue and chickungunya,” said Mr Tiwari.
