Scribe case: Manhunt on to arrest accused
A special team has been formed to crack the molestation-cum-assault case.
New Delhi: Continuing its probe into the assault and moloestation case of a woman journalist, who was groped and attacked by a pervert inside ITO Metro station on Monday night, the Delhi Metro police has launched a massive manhunt to nail down the offender.
On Wednesday, the probe team retrieved the picture of the suspect from the CCTV grab and sent it across to their beat staff members to step up the process of his identification. According to one of the officials, already over 10 area beat police personnel, attached to the Delhi Metro police, have been provided with the picture of the suspect.
On Thursday morning, the team will release the sketch of the assailant. A special team has been formed to crack the molestation-cum-assault case.
The incident had taken place at about 9.30 pm on Monday when the journalist stepped insdie the ITO Metro station from Gate No. 1 on Deen Dayal Upadhaya Marg to board a train for her home. The molester touched her inappropriately at her back.
When the journalist tried to confront him, he first said sorry, then came near her and groped her.
