Ghaziabad: In a shocking incident, a 13-year-old girl was allegedly gangraped by two minor boys at a servant’s quarter in Hindon air base in Ghaziabad.

The police has filed a case against the accused after the victim’s father lodged a complaint on Saturday and named the two accused, who are 15 and 16 year olds respectively. The girl was taken for a medical examination on Monday. However, the parents refused to get her examined.

The police said that it has called the two accused for questioning and that their medical examination will be conducted.

According to the police, the two boys allegedly gangraped and molested the girl on two separate days inside the air base. Later, her parents approached the police on Saturday and lodged a case at the Sahibabad police station.

The FIR was filed under Sections 376 D (gang rape) and 354 (molestation) of the IPC. The boys have also been booked under the provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

“She was raped in the servant’s quarters inside the air base on January 10,” said a senior police official, adding that according to the complainant, the two boys allegedly molested his daughter inside the generator room of one of the residences at the air base on Saturday.

“We have called both the accused for questioning and their medical examination will also be done. The girl’s family on Monday refused an internal examination to ascertain rape. The test couldn’t be done earlier as doctors were unavailable,” said the official.

The chief medical officer said that the non-availability of the doctors was not an issue.

“The girl and her parents had come on Sunday, but told the chief medical superintendent that they do not want her to be examined. They arrived yet again on Monday and refused to get her examined. This time they have given it in written that they don’t want to get the medical examination of their daughter done,” said the medical official.

This is the second such incident of alleged assault against minor girls in Hindon air base.
