Delhi: CBI arrests 2 DDA officials for 'taking bribe'

Both the accused were arrested and produced today before a Special Judge at a local court.

Officials said that she was intercepted at Mumbai airport when she was trying to leave the country on Saturday. The accused was arrested after questioning.

New Delhi: Two Delhi Development Authority officials have been arrested by the CBI for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 4,000.

DDA Assistant Director, D R Mahto and Lower Division Clerk Suraj Mahto were arrested by the agency for allegedly demanding and accepting the bribe for issuing "no dues certificate" against a property located at Azad Market in the city.

A case was registered against the accused and searches were conducted at the premises of both the accused which led to recovery of certain documents, a CBI spokesperson said.

Both the accused were arrested and produced today before a Special Judge at a local court here.
