Delhi gets its first ever fully air-conditioned bus stand
This can be seen as a blessing in disguise for the heat-stricken passengers of DTC (Delhi Transport Corporation) buses.
New Delhi: With the national capital reeling under extreme heat waves condition, the Delhi Government in collaboration with Daikin India under a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative has made a fully air-conditioned bus stand in Lajpat Nagar.
This is definitely one of the chilling reliefs to the commuters in Delhi who wait for their buses to get to their offices and colleges and also for the victims of Delhi's scorching summer.
"It is definitely a great relief. I really appreciate this move by the Delhi Government," said a commuter.
"This is one of the remarkable initiative implemented by the Delhi Government and this is great step to development," said another commuter.
On May 13, as part of the CSR initiative, Daikin India joined hands with the Delhi Government to bring this AC bus stand to life.
This was launched on an experimental basis, a well thought-out strategy for the company's fresh phase of investment, which can be seen as a blessing in disguise for the heat-stricken passengers of DTC (Delhi Transport Corporation) buses.
