Forgery in IB selection disclosed, one arrested

New Delhi:In a shocking incident, there have been reports of forgery in selection to Intelligence Bureau (IB). Officers in IB Headquarters made the disclosure on Friday.
The officers said during a candidate’s interview, they found that his photograph and handwriting didn’t match with the person sitting in the written examination. The accused candidate has been identified as Anup Kumar, a resident of Jind in Haryana.
When Anup was questioned, he told the intelligence officers that his brother Rajesh Kumar had sent dummy candidate for the second term examination. For his efforts, the dummy candidate was paid Rs 50,000. He also the intelligence officers that such dummy candidates appeared for the examination at many other centers too.
The IB officers recorded the confession of Anup and called the police. The Chanakyapuri police station personnel arrived at IB Headquarters and arrested Anup along with the forged documents. A case of counterfeit and forgery has been filed against him.
As many as 8,10,273 candidates were enrolled for the first term examination at 32 centres across the country on October 15 last. Anup Kumar was also in the candidate list.

During the interview on Friday, the roll number and the photograph were the same, but when Anup Kumar’s turn came, there was some confusion in the verification of all his documents
