Delhiites are suffering due to pollution during the past 10 days, the government didn't take any steps to improve the environment in Delhi.
New Delhi: A delegation of Delhi BJP on Thursday met lieutenant governor Anil Baijal and lodged their protest against the Kejriwal government’s failure in improving the environment in spite of having Rs 1,002 crores fund with it collected as environment cess and requested him to direct the government to immediately purchase 8,000 new buses.
Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari and leader of opposition in Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta led the delegation. The delegation apprised the L-.G about the fact that during the past three years there were many cases wherein the government has misused the funds, including Schedule Caste Welfare Fund, allocated for a particular purpose.
Hence there is a possibility environment cess collected has been diverted for other work, the delegation said. Delhiites are suffering due to pollution during the past 10 days, the government didn’t take any steps to improve the environment in Delhi.
