Deal inked to promote student interaction

New Delhi: With an objective to promote interaction and collaboration among faculty members, scientists, and students of AIIMS, Delhi and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, the two institutes signed an MoU on Tuesday to carry out joint academic and research programmes.  

“The two institutes have, in principal, agreed for institutional collaboration in education, research outreach programme and medical services," said a statement by All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).

The MoU will promote joint academic programs such as PhD, MD-PhD, MSc and PhD and coordinated internship programme for students.

"The objective is to promote interaction and collaboration amongst faculty members, scientists and students of the two institutions to carry out joint academic and research programmes, joint supervision of masters and doctoral students as well as collaborative research projects," it added.  

Other areas of collaboration include micro specialsation and micro credit courses, short modular courses designed for the undergraduate and postgraduate students of the two Institutions, exchange of faculty, medical professionals, and scientists.
