New Delhi: Knowing the important role played by traders (voters) in the national capital in next Lok Sabha polls, Union finance and railway minister Piyush Goyal to interact with the traders’ on July 20.
A senior Delhi BJP functionary told this newspaper that the interaction will take place on Friday at Dr Ambedkar International Centre in the national capital in which Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari will be present along with Mr Goyal. “Mr Goyal will talk about the initiative taken by Narendra Modi government in the field of trade and business,” he added.
The meeting saw an attempt by the party win back the support of traders, who will play a pivotal role in the next year general elections. Traders in national capital always voted in favour of the BJP, but are unhappy with the ongoing sealing drive on the direction of the SC-appointed monitoring committee and and the BJP’s failure to find a solution to save them.
