Delhi Transport Corporation to press in more buses to facilitate devotees during Navratri

The nine-day long Navratri festival will commence on Thursday and will be on till September 30.

New Delhi: Special Delhi Transport Corporation buses will ply during Navratri festival to facilitate the devotees visiting famous temples in the city.

The nine-day long Navratri festival will commence on Thursday and will be on till September 30.

As a large number of devotees are expected to throng the temples on occasion of Navratri, the corporation has arranged special, additional buses on route numbers 450 and 516 for the temples in Chhatarpur, Kalkaji and Jhandewalan, said Sanjay Saxena, deputy chief general manager (public relations) of DTC.

Route number 450 buses ply between Jal Vihar to Anand Parvat while 516 number buses run between Safdarjung Terminal to Dera Village.

The special buses will be operated in the evening shift.

Supervisory staff of DTC will be deployed at strategic places to help the commuters, the official said.
