3 cheats arrested for running fake govt job racket

During investigation, it was found that the gang of cheats was being headed by Shashi Bhushan, who had escaped to Bihar.

New Delhi: Delhi police crime branch has arrested three persons who were involved in running a fake government job racket. The accused were identified as Shashi Bhushan (26), Sandeep Sidhana (36), Sheetal Kumar (30).

On January 1 this year, a case was registered based on the complaint of one Keshav who alleged that Manish and his associates had cheated him and others of '24 lakh on the pretext of providing government jobs in Rail-ways, FCI, Military Engi-neering, Indian Post Offi-ce, Union Bank of India, etc.  During investigation, it was found that the gang of cheats was being headed by Shashi Bhushan who had escaped to Bihar after cheating a large number of persons.

After sustained efforts on August 5 Shashi Bhushan was arrested from Patna, Bihar. He was brought to Delhi and taken on police remand. At his instance, accused Sandeep Sidhana was arrested from Saket, Delhi and Sheetal Kumar from Sarai Kale Khan, Delhi.

A large number of incriminating documents including fake Appoin-tment Letters, Educatio-nal documents of victims, fake ID cards, fake official Stamps, laptops etc., were recovered from their possession. They admitted to duping a large number of youths in Delhi, Bihar and other States on the pretext of proving government jobs in railways, FCI etc. The victim used to run a small business in Gurgaon. He met Shashi Bhushan through a common friend in March 2016. Bhushan managed to convince Keshav that he could arrange for a ticket checker’s job for Keshav’s cousin in Indian Railways.
