New Delhi: The BJP will come out with a vision document for next month’s civic polls, which will give details of the party’s plan to improve urban living quality.

BJP Rajya Sabha member and national vice-president Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, who has been appointed by BJP president Amit Shah to supervise the civic polls, told this newspaper that the party’s key focus is providing a transparent and clean vision for improving urban life in the national capital. He also stressed that like any other elections, the party is taking Delhi’s civic polls very seriously and after Punjab and Goa, Delhiites will give befitting reply to the misgovernance of the AAP.

Mr Sahasrabuddhe said that BJP councillors will work hard to emulate successful projects implemented by the party ruled 72 civic bodies. “For example, deputy chief minister and former mayor of Lucknow Dinesh Sharma’s work in controlling stray animals or Nagpur civic bodies’ ambitious project of generating power from sewer water under the guidance of Union minister Nitin Gadkari are some cases of good work by BJP ruled corporations which can be replicated in other cities. Our vision document will talk about initiatives for improving urban life,” said BJP national vice president.

On central leadership keeping a close eye on the poll preparations of Delhi BJP, Mr Sahasrabuddhe said that the party takes every election very seriously and contests it to win.

“It’s a cosmopolitan city and hence the party has appointed a rainbow of leaders — Nirmala Sithara-man from South, Jitendra Singh from Jammu and Kashmir, Sanjiv Balyan from UP, and myself from Maharashtra. The party will create awareness among voters about the negativity spread by AAP. BJP will expose AAP by telling people about their politics of creating hurdles in the functioning of the civic bodies,” he said.

People of Goa and Punjab have brought down AAP and Delhiites will put a full stop on their style of politics by rejecting them in next month’s civic polls,” he said.
