New Delhi: Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday accused the BJP of having his public rally cancelled, while questioning how many rallies of the saffron party were cancelled in the last five years.

“BJP gets my public rally cancelled today through police. Police denies permission. How many BJP rallies were denied permission by police in Delhi in last 5 years?” Kejriwal said in a tweet.

The Aam Aadmi Party chief also said that the BJP should accept that it will lose all the seven seats in Delhi.

“Modi forgot his promise of full statehood. Now the people will tell him,” Mr Kejriwal added.

According to the AAP, Mr Kejriwal was scheduled to address a rally in Shakurbasti on Saturday, for which the police did not give permission.  However, he addressed a rally in Timarpur.

Mr Kejriwal also hit out at Mr Modi, alleging he is “following” German dictator “Adolf Hitler’s tactics to grab power.”

He launched the scathing attack on Mr Modi while re-tweeting a video that purportedly showed members of a Muslim family in Gurgaon’s Dhamaspur village being beaten up with sticks and rods by a group of men on Thursday.

Police had said a mob pelted stones at a house in Gurgaon and beat up family members, after a quarrel over a game of cricket on Holi. Later six persons were arrested for attempt to murder.

In a series of tweets, Mr Kejriwal hit out at Prime Minister Modi. “Goons of Hitler use to beat and kill innocent people. Later, police use to file cases against the victims. Modiji is also doing the same.

“He is following Hitler’s tactics to grab the power and his supporters are not able to see in which direction India is going,” Mr Kejriwal said in a tweet.
