One killed, 5 injured in wall collapse in Greater Kailash area
Three fire tenders were sent to the spot, a fire service official said.
New Delhi: A man was killed and five others were injured after a wall of an under-construction building collapsed in south Delhi’s Greater Kailash area on Saturday afternoon.
Inspector Praveen Rawat of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) said that the exact reason for the wall collapse is not yet known.
“Our team immediately rushed to the spot as soon as we got the information. The injured were all labourer, who were working at the construction site.”
“They have since been shifted to All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) hospital for treatment,” Mr Rawat said.
The Delhi Fire officials said that a telephone call was received at 12:10 pm regarding a wall of an under-construction building collapsed in South Delhi’s Greater Kailash area, killing one person and injuring five others.
Three fire tenders were sent to the spot, a fire service official said.
Six people were injured and taken to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences Trauma Centre where one of person succumbed to his injures while the others are currently undergoing treatment.
