Bid to rob cash van goes in vain, two get bullet injuries

According to the police, the incident took place on Tuesday afternoon in Metro Vihar in Rohini area.

Subsequently, the police registered an FIR at the concerned police station and took up investigation into the matter, the official sources said.

New Delhi: Two persons received bullet injuries as some armed miscreants opened fire at a cash van of Axis bank in Delhi’s Metro Vihar on Tuesday.

However, their bid to rob the van went in vain as the gurad and the cashier fought them back which forced the miscreants to fle the spot.

According to the police, the incident took place on Tuesday afternoon in Metro Vihar in Rohini area.

The van had stopped outside an ATM to replenish it with cash.  While the cashier was inside, two men came there and allegedly fired at him and the security guard, they said. However, the cashier downed the shutter of the ATM in order to save himself. The accused then fled, police said.
