NEW DELHI: Some Russian airline crew members were abused by a drunk passenger onboard Moscow to Delhi flight. According to the sources, the incident took place in the wee hours on Wednesday. A police complaint was filed against the unruly passenger as he apologised to the crew members.
The flight pilot immediately raised the alarm with Air Traffic Controllers (ATC) and also appraised the security agency CISF about the incident. A team of CISF security officials reached the runway. When the flight landed at IGI, the accused was controlled by CISF and airline security officials, said the sources.
“On Wednesday at about 2:45 am, Airport Operation Command Centre informed Security Operations Control Center of a passenger identified as Filipp Rycin (52), a Russian national, arriving from Moscow by Aeroflot flight SU-232. He was creating a nuisance due to drunken behaviour. A CISF team rushed to the spot and the passenger was detained. Later, he was allowed to exit as the crew members were reluctant to lodge any police complaint,” said a Delhi airport official on the condition of anonymity.
We have not received any information regarding this incident said a Delhi airport operator.
