New Delhi: In a case of cold-blooded murder, a woman allegedly killed a two-year-old child of her neighbour by repeatedly ramming his head on the floor. The accused woman allegedly nursed a grudge towards the victim’s mother after a fight around 3 days ago.

The incident took place in Dwarka’s Uttam Nagar area on Thursday noon.

The police said that as the families of both the victim and the accused lived in the same building, the children used to play together. At times there used to be fights among them.

Around three days ago, the victim’s mother had a fight with Madhubala over the same issue. On Thursday, Madhubala allegedly took the two-year-old Nikhil to her flat and allegedly beat him to death by repeatedly banging his head on the floor.

According to police, the accused woman has been identified as Madhubala. The deceased child, identified as Nikhil, lived on the first floor of the building and is survived by his parents and two siblings. The accused woman also has three children.

In order to hide his body, the accused then bought a sack and dumped him into it. However, she ran out of luck when the agitated parents of the deceased came to her doorstep in search of their son.

The police further said that when they tried to enter Madhubala’s house, she allegedly stopped them. The parents grew suspicious and pushed her away. They forcibly entered the flat only to find their son lying motionless in the sack. They immediately took him to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

After preliminary probe, the police arrested Madhubala based on the statement of the victim’s mother and is probing the case in this regard.
