SC penalty on govt shows its callousness: Manoj Tiwari
But the Kejriwal-led Delhi government has let down the city traders again on Monday by not submitting any blue print.
New Delhi: Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari on Monday said a penalty of Rs 50,000 imposed on the AAP government by the SC bench hearing the public interest litigation (PIL) on sealing for not submitting the blueprint of the policy as directed by the court on excessive pollution, congestion and commercialisation, was yet another evidence of the government’s callousness.
The BJP leader added that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government has dealt the entire issue in such a way that it has led to widespread sealing drive in the national capital, he added.
According to the Delhi BJP chief , before hearing any plea for relief to traders from sealing, the court wanted the government to submit a vision blue print as to how it proposed to deal with rising pollution, congestion and stopping illegal commercialisation.
But the Kejriwal-led Delhi government has let down the city traders again on Monday by not submitting any blue print and as a result the plea by the traders for relief from the sealing drive will not get heard in near future.
“The failure of the Delhi government in submitting an environmental policy blue print means that the traders of the capital will continue to face the onslaught of sealing,” Mr Tiwari added.
