Greater Noida: A preliminary medical investigation has ruled out rape of four women in Greater Noida’s Jewar, Gautam Budh Nagar’s chief medical officer Anurag Bhargav said on Friday evening.

Addressing a press conference in presence of Gautam Buddha Nagar SSP Love Kumar, chief medical officer told that prima facie the medical examination has failed to establish any sexual assault on the women, which contradicts the claims.

This comes a day after the women alleged they were dragged to a field and gangraped by a group of six robbers off the Yamuna Expressway on Thursday. Their male relative was shot dead allegedly by the robbers.

Also one of the four women allegedly gangraped by the robbers have denied the involvement of her neighbours in the crime. The woman had earlier told the media that three of the six suspects could be her neighbours. But on Friday morning, she allegedly retracted from her statement.

Dr Bhargav said despite the claims of forced vaginal and anal intercourse, there was no presence of any foreign DNA in the form of a male sperm in the vaginal swab in the medical test. He further added that there were no injuries on their private parts either. However, Dr Bhargav said these findings were not final as the samples would now be sent to Lucknow for forensic examination, results of which will be out in two to three weeks.
