Robbery and attempt to murder bizman, servant

As the duo was nearing home, two men on a bike intercepted them and tried to snatch the money bag.

Subsequently, the police registered an FIR at the concerned police station and took up investigation into the matter, the official sources said.

New Delhi: Hours after a cashier and a guard were killed in Rohini on Thursday, a businessman and his servant were shot by bike- borne men in a bid to rob cash from them in a south Delhi market.

According to the police, the incident took place at around 11.30 pm in south Delhi's Fatehpur Beri.  The armed bike-borne assailants in a bid to rob the 56-year-old businessman and his servant indiscriminately fired at the duo.

The injured Satpal Sharma, who runs a wholesale business in spices and cereals, received three bullets in his abdomen. The two-armed robbers shot Kaka,  the servant twice.

According to the police, Satpal along with Kaka was returning home after closing the shop for the day. As the duo was about to reach home, two men on a motorcycle allegedly intercepted them and tried to snatch the bag comntaining money.

 However, they couldn't succeed and in anger they fired indiscriminately at them.

After the shooting, the  the two men fled from the spot abandoning their motorcycle, bearing Haryana registration. The police which was immediately informed about the incident reached the crime spot.

Additional DCP, Vijayanta Arya also visited the spot and initiated probe into the same. The victims have been admitted to Fortis Hospital where their condition said to be stable.
