Soon, Virat Kohli's wax statue to stand next to Sachin Tendulkar
Kohli's statue will be featured in the sports zone and will be an attraction for the icon's fans.
New Delhi: Team India captain Virat Kohli is all set to join the likes of former cricketers Sachin Tendulkar, Kapil Dev, among others at Madame Tussauds in the national capital. His figure will be unveiled soon.
Kohli’s wax statue will be featured in the popular and interactive sports zone where the visitors will be able to pose, click selfies with it.

Talking about his inclusion in Madame Tussauds, Delhi, an excited Kohli said: “It is a great honour to be chosen as one of the wax statues at Madame Tussauds. All thanks to the wax museum’s team who were extremely patient with me during the sitting sessions and for giving me a memory worth remembering,”
Located in the heart Connaught Place’ Regal Building, the Madame Tussauds opened on December 1 last year and is based around celebrities from diverse genres from across the world.
This is the 23rd edition of the museum, operated by Merlin Entertainments, and features as many as 50 lifelike figures spanning across different fields such as history, sports, music, films, and politics.
The wax museum has statues of Bollywood celebrities and yesteryear actors such as Madhubala, Indian sportspersons such as Kapil Dev, and a special zone for the stalwarts of the Indian freedom movement and other political leaders such as Prime Minister Narendra Modi and former President APJ Abdul Kalam.
