New Delhi: In an attempt to prevent further paper leak, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government has directed all the employees of the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) to deposit their mobile phones at the main gate before entering into their office.

The order, issued by deputy secretary (administration) M.K. Nikhil, also stated that the move has been taken keeping in mind that the DSSSB staff was found whiling its precious time on the usage of mobile phones during the official working hours.

“During visits of senior officers to different branches of DSSSB, it has been observed that several staff members of DSSSB were busy with their mobile sets instead of attending to their regular works.

“Keeping in view the wastage of time during office hours by the staff while Internet surfing/social networking and the fact that mobile phones can be misused for leaking vital information relating the recruitment process, all the non-gazetted staff of DSSSB is directed to handover their mobile phones at the reception counter at the main gate while entering the office premises and collect the same while leaving the office,” the order stated.

It added that the non-compliance of the instructions will be viewed seriously.
