CM Kejriwal raps officials for shortage of medicines

CM visits Kondli clinic after complaints.

New Delhi: Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday pulled up the health department officials for non-availability of some medicines at a Mohalla clinic in Kondli and several tests not being conducted at the clinic. He also pulled up the public works department (PWD) officials over the non-functioning of the air condition and problem  in the main door of the clinic.

The CM made a surprise visit to the clinic after getting several complaints at Jan Samvad. Unhappy over the state of affairs at the clinic, the chief minister called a meeting immediately aft-er the visit with the concerned minister and secretaries of the concerned department in his office.

“During the meeting the chief minister directed the health secretary to take immediate measur-es to ensure availability of all medicines with immediate effect, tests to start immediately at the centre. The official ensured the chief minister that all the directions would be complied with immediately,” a Delhi government statement said. It added that the PWD has been directed to install the air conditioning system and repair the main door of the centre immediately, to which the department ensured that they would execute it immediately. “The decision was also taken in the meeting to install CCTV Cameras inside the clinics to monitor the upkeep of the centre and proper functioning,” it said. The CM would meet all the Mohalla Clinics doctors next week with Mr Satyendra Jain.of all the Mohalla Clinics in the next week. and discuss the status of the clinics and if they were facing any problem.
