Job sharks dupe youth of Rs 3 lakh
Delhi-based firm promises him job in Gujarat, Mumbai.
New Delhi: A Delhi based marine management company allegedly duped a victim of Rs 3 lakh on the pretext of finding him a lucrative job in a marine management company in Gujarat and Mumbai. It all began in November last when victim Rajnish Yadav, 19, a resident of Deoria district in UP came into contact with one Avneesh Sahi.
Mr Yadav has done a marine course and was searching for a job. Assuring him of a job, Mr Sahi brought Mr Yadav to the Maiden Voyage Gur Kripa, Marine management Private Limited Company located in Murinika area in Delhi.
Mr Yadav met with two persons identified as Brijkishor Maurya and Mayukh Angurala who lured him of a job in a marine company and in this regard, asked him to deposit '3 lakh in their account. But Mr Yadav could deposit only Rs 1.6 lakh. He deposited the remaining Rs 1.4 lakh into Mr Maurya’s bank account by borrowing from his family members.
After receiving the money, Mr Maurya took him to the Delhi office and he along with his aide Mr Angurala told him to go to Mumbai where the accused told him to contact Pragati Marine Company. The company sent Mr Yadav to Porbandar, Gujarat on December 17.
In Porbander, he met one Shambhu Singh who took him to a vessel, ‘Pirotan’, where the victim worked for 10 to 12 days. He was later sent to another vessel, ‘GMB-I’, where he worked for one month. After some days, one Sanjay Singh from ‘Pirotan’ approached him and told him told Mr Yadav to leave the vessel as he (Mr Singh) hadn’t received any money from Mr Maurya and Mr Angurala.
“When I went back to Delhi to talk with the Mr Maurya and Mr Angurala not only did the duo misbehave with me, but also threatened me with dire consequences if I asked them to return my money,” said Mr Yadav told this news paper over the phone.
Meanwhile, the Delhi police after the an enquiry into the matter filed a case on Friday against the Maiden Voyage Gur Kripa, Marine management Pvt Limited Company and are investigating the matter.
When contacted by this newspaper, one of the director of Maiden Voyage Gur Kripa, Marine Management Private Limited Company, Mr Angurala refused to make any comments.
