New Delhi: To gather support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “New India” call, the BJP took out a “Tiranga Yatra” in the Northeast Delhi parliamentary constituency, represented by state chief Manoj Tiwari.

Hundreds of workers, social institutions and citizens participated in the yatra. Mr Tiwari led the procession that started from Karawal Nagar Chowk and turned into a public meeting at Dilshad Garden.

BJP workers carrying national flags passed through all the eight Assembly constituencies of northeast Delhi as part of the procession, which was held under the party’s Sankalp Se Siddhi (resolution for achievement) programme.

Mr Tiwari said “The programme ‘sankalp se siddhi’ is a vision of Prime Minister Narender Modi that the dream of ‘New India’ is realised by the time we celebrate the diamond jubilee of our Independence in 2022.”
