Congress to remind voters of rapid development during its 15-year rule

NEW DELHI: Buoyed by the Haryana Assembly poll results, the Congress has devised strategies to connect with the people and make them aware about the false propagandas of the AAP and the BJP before the Assembly elections in the national capital. A party leader said that the recently held parliamentary election has proved that there is triangular contest in the national capital.

The grand old party is gearing up to woo voters with their X-factors of good governance and rapid development of Delhi under their 15 years rule to win the upcoming Assembly election.

Corruption, law-and-order, public transport, food security and other issues have been dominating the election for decades across the nation, but here in Delhi, pollution has become an importance issue and no political party can take a chance to ignore it especially in Assembly election.

“The Delhi CM is just doing lip service by urging Punjab and Haryana to take concrete steps against stubble-burning in the states and prevent the national capital from turning into a “gas chamber” but he himself failed. He even failed to improve the public transport that can help to reduce the pollution here,” said Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) president Subhash Chopra.

“The ruling AAP is feeling the heat of public anger due to the incompetence to perform as they locked horn with central government and wasted four-and-half years on fighting and blaming others for their misdeeds,” he added.

“Both BJP and AAP are tying to woo people ahead of Assembly polls by deciding to regularise unauthorised colonies in the national capital. Furthermore, Delhi and Central government vow to speed up the development works in these colonies. However people know that it was Congress who provided these colonies basic amenities, connectivity and other facilities during its rule. We will make people aware about Congress’s contribution in this regard,” said Mr Chopra.
