NRI, 30, dies in accident on Mumbai-Pune Expressway

The deceased has been identified as Jitesh Jagdish Jadhav, 30-year-old NRI who worked with an IT firm in South Africa.

Pune: A 30-year-old non-resident Indian (NRI), who worked with an IT firm in South Africa, died in an accident on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway on Friday morning after his car lost control and rammed into a container. Four others who were travelling with him in the car were injured.

The deceased has been identified as Jitesh Jagdish Jadhav, 30-year-old NRI who worked with an IT firm in South Africa.

Police inspector I.S. Patil said, “Jitesh who was driving Ford Fiesta lost control of the car and rammed into a container. The accident took place near Kamshet tunnel. The accident was so fatal that Jitesh died on the spot and four others were wounded. We admitted them to Lokmanya Hospital in Nigadi.”

A.S. Aspat, a senior inspector of highway police, said, “Jitesh Jadhav worked in IT sector in South Africa. He is a son of a retired police officer. But he was in India for the wedding ceremony of his sister. He was also in India for some work of his company. He was going to leave the county next week. On Friday, he was travelling with his wife and three other family member — his aunt Shobha Indrajit Bhosale (58), his uncle Indrajit Bhosale (65), and their grandson Ninad Bhosale (11).”

The police is investigating the accident to find out the reason behind it.
