Nagpur: Senior dalit leader Prakash alias Balasaheb Ambedkar not only accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) of falsely implicating him in an alleged assassination plot to eliminate Prime Minister Narendra Modi but also threatened to send RSS chief Dr Mohan Bhagwat to jail if he came to power.

Mr Ambedkar, the Bharatiya Republican Party Bahujan Mahasa-ngh (BRPBMS) chief, asserted that he was falsely implicated in a fake case by the ruling  BJP in Maharashtra and the RSS in the assassination plot while addressing a huge rally with a large number of dalits and Muslims here last night. All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Mus-limeen (AIMIM) leader Asaduddin Owaisi was also scheduled to add-ress the joint rally but did not turn up.

Mr Ambedkar said he has vowed to settle scores with the duo. “You have started this sinister game but I will end it. I will see to it that the BJP is reduced to a single digit party after the 2019 general elections, and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and BJP leaders are put behind bars,” Mr Ambedkar, who formed a new political front ‘Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi’ — an anti-BJP, anti-Congress political outfit — with Mr Owaisi, said decimating the BJP in three Hindi-belt states was not the end and the next step would be defeating BJP in Lok Sabha elections and Maharashtra too.

In clear message, Mr Ambedkar said “Congress wants me to join their Mahaga-tbandhan (grand alliance) in Maharashtra minus the AIMIM, but I will never give up this and we will be part of the anti-BJP grand alliance only if AIMIM is also included. Mr Ambedkar added when Congress was comfortable in seeking support during the time of the no-trust motion on the Nuclear Pact, why is it finding it untouchable now,” asked Ambedkar.

Maharashtra MLAs Waris Pathan from Byculla and Imtiaz Jalil from Aurangabad, who are considered close to Owaisi, were present for the public rally.

“The Congress ruled the state for 15 years but failed to provide reservation to Muslims and meted out injustice to the community,” he alleged.
