Howrah: Two accidents on NH6 kill 2, leave 15 injured

A truck coming from Kolaghat rammed a van and an auto-rickshaw, killing one and injuring ten on NH6 at around 6 am.

Kolkata: Two persons were killed while several others were injured in two separate road accidents at Uluberia in Howrah on Saturday morning. The first accident took place on National Highway 6 at Panpur at around 6 am. The other also happened in the same area after some time.

A Kolkata-bound sand-laden truck coming from Kolaghat lost control and dashed a pick-up van before hitting a auto-rickshaw. A man was killed while ten more were injured. The body,  identified as that of  Drono Polley, was sent for post-mortem.

He was travelling in the van with a group of workers. The injured were admitted to Uluberia Hospital.

The second mishap took place some time later in the same area. A pick-up van rammed into a private bus. A man was killed while five others were injured.
