Kolkata: The woman, who earlier accused Rajya Sabha MP Ritabrata Banerjee of raping her on the pretext of marriage, has lodged two fresh complaints with the police at Balurghat in South Dinajpur against the MP for threatening and lodging false case against her.

According to complaint, Mr Banerjee has been intimidating her over phone since getting bail from the court recently in the rape case, forcing her to lodge the complaint.

Ms Dutta’s second complaint against the expelled CPI(M) leader is for lodging a false case with the police against her accusing her of extortion.

She also lodged a complaint against his fiancee, Durba Sen, accusing her of maintaining secrecy on Mr Banerjee’s whereabouts from the criminal investigation department during her questioning.

“I have started receiving threat and abusive calls after Ritabrata got bail on November 3. I have been threatened of being harmed since he has been now on bail. All the calls came to me from unknown numbers as my WhatsApp number has been mentioned in Ritabrata’s FIR against me. I have been fed up receiving such calls. The callers threaten to rape me at home if I take any further step,” she alleged.

“They identified themselves as the men of Mukul Roy and that they are helping Ritabrata. I am concerned about my security which is why I lodged the complaints,” she added.
