PM Modi's Exam Warriors logs brisk sales
Modi has offered 25 mantras to students in the book to ride over mental pressure during examinations.
Kolkata: A book penned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to help students deal with exam pressure is logging brisk sales at the ongoing Kolkata International Book fair.
Exam Warriors was released by external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj with HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar on Sunday in Delhi and is being sold at various stalls in the fair.
The book published by Penguin Random House is attracting people, both young and old, in the fair, the company manager in Kolkata, N. Roy Choudhury told PTI.
In the last two days, more than 500 copies of the book have been sold from the publisher’s stall, he said.
Mr Modi has offered 25 “mantras” to students in the book to ride over mental pressure during examinations. He also has advise for parents on how to be their children’s best mentor and asks them to always accept rather than expect.
“I have purchased a copy for myself,” Choudhury said, adding that there was enough stock of the book to cater to the demand during the fair which will end on February 11. Other stalls have also registered brisk sales of the book.
“More than 100 copies have been sold so far,” Amit Aggarwal, the stall manager of the Future Publishers and Distributors, said.
Staff at the Oneworld Book’s stall said they had sold 50 copies in the past two days. Exam Warriors is priced at Rs 100 and a customary discount of 10 per cent is being offered at the book fair.
