BSF, NIA arrest fake currency notes smuggler
BSF seized Rs two lakh in new Rs 2000 currency notes early on Wednesday when some miscreants were trying to smuggle it from Bangladesh.

Kolkata: The Border Security Force and NIA have arrested a person involved in smuggling of fake currency notes from Kaliachak in Malda district and seized Rs two lakh in new notes in another operation, BSF officials said in Kolkata on Wednesday.
On a specific information provided by the NIA, the person identified as Umar Faruk was arrested in a joint operation by the two agencies yesterday.
Faruk was wanted by NIA in another case of smuggling of FICN. New currency notes worth Rs 6,000 were recovered from him.
BSF also seized Rs two lakh in new Rs 2000 currency notes early on Wednesday when some miscreants were trying to smuggle it from Bangladesh.
