Governor Tripathi greets people on Independence Day eve
Security has been tightened for Independence Day celebrations across the state.
Kolkata: West Bengal governor Keshari Nath Tripathi greeted the people of West Bengal on the eve of Independence Day.
A statement from Raj Bhavan said on Monday, “On the eve of 71st Independence Day, Hon’ble governor Shri Keshari Nath Tripathi expresses his warm greetings to the people of West Bengal. Hon’ble governor also said that we will never forget the tremendous sacrifice made by the freedom fighters and this is the occasion to pledge to defend the sovereignty of our land and national integrity. On this auspicious occasion we rededicate ourselves for constructing a vibrant and prosperous India. Once again, governor Shri Tripathi conveys his best wishes to the people of West Bengal for their well being and happiness.”
