West Bengal: Upgraded Raj Bhavan website launched
In the upgraded version, an event gallery has been introduced displaying photographs of the gov taken at different events, programmes and his visits.
Kolkata: An upgraded version of the website of West Bengal Raj Bhavan was launched by governor Keshari Nath Tripathi. The upgraded version of the old website of Raj Bhavan, Kolkata, is more vibrant and easy to access, a Raj Bhavan official said on Wednesday adding it was launched on Tuesday.
It preserves features of the old website like brief particulars of the present governor, the constitutional and ex-officio roles of the governor and a list of past incumbents since 1700. The upgraded version also retains the Web page on general rules and guidelines for visiting the Raj Bhavan and its library, he said.
In the upgraded version, an event gallery has been introduced displaying photographs of the governor taken at different events, programmes and his visits. Besides, visually impaired persons would have an easy access to the website through a link called “screen reader access”, he said.
The upgraded web pages would also allow resizing of text which would be readable both in electronic and print format, he said. The upgraded website (www.Rajbhavankolkata.gov.in and www.rajbhavankolkata.nic.in) also has a new section for RTI.
“Keeping in mind with the number of people accessing websites these days the up-gradation was done. We hope the changes will attract more hits and help people knowing more things about the Raj Bhavan,” he stated.
