BJP can beat TMC in rural polls'
We will fight and defeat the Trinamul anyday anywhere the election will be held.
Kolkata: BJP state president Dilip Ghosh on Saturday claimed that the party would beat the Trinamul Congress anyday anywhere the panchayat elections would be held.
According to him, the BJP is prepared for the poll-battle. Bantering the Trinamul’s celebration of its victory much before the elections Mr Ghosh argued that the ruling party would be in bitterness this time.
At Krishnanagar in Nadia he told the media, “The election should be held peacefully and with adequate time so that everyone can participate. We are ready for the election anyday. It is only me who started poll campaign from April 12. Others were then in the court. We will fight and defeat the Trinamul anyday anywhere the election will be held. Those who had sweets earlier will now have to eat bitter gourd.”
The Kharagpur MLA elaborated, “Those who wanted to contest the polls should get chance. That was why we moved the court which gave its direction to the state poll panel to make arrangements. If the poll panel fails we will move the court again to protect the rights of the people. We are fighting for the people. All should get a taste of the democracy gifted by the Constitution.”
