Flesh trade racket busted, 6 rescued; CID arrests 12

Kolkata: The criminal investigation department (CID) rescued six female including two minors who were allegedly forced to flesh trade. A dozen have been arrested while cash over Rs 2 lakhs were recovered.
Acting on a tip-off the CID raided Hotel Silver Door at Sukanta Pally on Belghoria Expressway in Dum Dum on Wednesday night. CID deputy inspector general (Operations) Nishat Parvez informed that two girls and four young women were rescued. He said that among the 12 accused arrested nine were men.
They are Krishna Dey (30) of Sodepur, Manindra Nath Giri (46) of Mathurapur in Jagaddal, Amit Majhi (24) of Polsuna in Katwa, Goutam Show (31) of Agarpara, Rajkumar Jana (30) of Junput in East Midnapore, Sajal Mitra (32) of Lakhuria, PS Mangalkot, Amit Chakraborty (34) of Arabinda Sarani in Madhyamgram, Ramesh Mundra (40) of Lake Town, Sarojit Das (25) of Bagna in Gaighata.
Three others were women. During the raid Rs 2,28,050 in were seized from the hotel apart from other incriminating articles. A car which was used to bring in the minors was seized also.
