Two held in Paikpara robbery incident

Kolkata: Two men were on Sunday arrested for their alleged involvement in a robbery incident at a residence in north Kolkata’s Paikpara area, the police said.
History-sheeter Asg-ar Sardar and his associate Ratan Dhar were arrested for the robbery which was reported earlier this month at a house on Raja Mahindra Road in Tala police station limits, a senior officer of police said. “Rs 12,000 in cash along with some gold ornaments estimated at around Rs 1.5 lakh were robbed from the house when the inhabitants were out for a vacation during the Durga pujas,” he said adding that on returning home on October 2, the inhabitants found the entire house ransacked.
