Mumbai: The war of words between the Shiv Sena and BJP leader Eknath Khadse has started again. After a Sena editorial on Wednesday taunted Mr Khadse for being a nobody in politics, Mr Khadse has dared the Sena to leave the state’s power before making comments on him.

Sena has slammed Mr Khadse for disabling its local unit in Jalgaon. Mr Khadse in his reply has said that he doesn’t pay attention to Sena’s comments as the party has lost its value in state politics.

Mr Khadse has shared the stage with Nationalist Congress Party leader Ajit Pawar and Congress leader Ashok Chavan recently. Both of them have offered Mr Khadse to join their parties.

Mr Khadse is already disturbed with his own party BJP and continuously attacking its leadership on arange of issues. Shiv Sena’s mouthpiece Saamana has written an editorial on the issue slamming Mr Khadse’s old rivalry with Sena.

“Khadse is looking to be in power now. He had used this same power against Shiv Sena’s leadership in Muktainagar (Jalgaon) to disable the party. Now destiny has taken its toll on Mr Khadse,” reads Saamana editorial.

It also writes, “Khadse keeps talking about how he feels about staying in Baramati (NCP chief Sharad Pawar’s hometown.) When the loyalty ends in politics, these things keep happening.”

Mr Khadse and Sena’s relation was bitter since the last 4 years. Sena leadership has blamed Mr Khadse for becoming a reason to break an alliance between Sena and BJP in 2014.

Mr Khadse too replied to Saamana’s charges on Wednesday. “They should not teach me politics. They should leave the state’s power and prove that they are not power hungry. I don’t need their certificate,” said Eknath Khadse.
