Car rams into truck; 2 killed, 2 injured
The Bhandup police has registered a case of rash driving against the deceased driver of the Honda City and are probing the case further.
Mumbai: Two persons died and three others were injured in an accident on the Bhandup flyover on Saturday morning.
Sources said that the driver of a car lost control of the wheel and rammed into a truck that was coming from the opposite direction.
According to the police sources, the accident took place at 6.30 am on the Eastern Express Highway near Mulund toll naka, adjacent to the Airoli bridge, when a Honda City (MH-04-HU-0072) coming from Thane rammed into the container truck . The accident claimed the lives of Nihar Gole (21) and Chikoo Chowdhary (21), who were seated in the Honda City, while the people inside the container truck — Hemant Shivgunde (21), Mahesh Padmanam (21) and Akshay More (22) — have sustained injuries.
A police officer said that the injured are being treated at a local hospital and their condition is stable.

Meanwhile, the city also witnessed two major accidents involving State Transport (ST) buses in the past week, where more than 40 persons were injured.
