Police files chargesheet against Dawood, brother
During probe the alleged roles of Dawood and Anees cropped up following which they were shown as wanted accused in this offence.
Mumbai: The anti-extortion cell of Thane police have filed a chargesheet against fugitive don Dawood Ibrahim and his brother Iqbal Kaskar and Anees Ibrahim in connection with an extortion case. While the police arrested Kaskar in October last year, both Dawood and Anees have been shown absconding.
The police have registered a case of extortion on the complaint of a prominent builder. According to complaint Kaskar had allegedly threatened and extorted Rs 3 crore from the complainant over the deal of a 38-acre land in Gorai in suburban Mumbai.

According to a senior police officer the chargesheet is running into thousands of pages and have list of evidences and statement of witnesses against the accused.
The papers of the land deal and payment proof also makes the part of the chargesheet.
Iqbal Kaskar and two of his aides were arrested in September last year by the Thane police AEC in a separate case of extortion of Rs 30 lakh and four flats from a builder.
