Teachers said the major examinations of all the three years came together this year.

Mumbai: Even after the University of Mumbai (MU) providing the login IDs and password for the online assessment of the winter examinations, the teachers are yet to begin the assessment procedure. The reason for the same is that they are busy with the manual assessment of the first and second year examinations that are conducted at the college level.

“This time, major examinations of all the three years came together because of which we have to assess both college papers and University papers. It is hectic but it will be manageable as we have time till December 2 as that is when all the University-level ends. Till then, we would complete the college assessment,” said a city college teacher.

Arjun Ghatule, the controller of examinations and evaluation, in an earlier occasion had told The Asian Age that the online assessment would begin in five days after the day of the examination. He said, “Immediately after the exam is done, the answer papers from all the MU affiliated college will be brought to MU’s Kalina campus which will take three days. After that, the scanning process would begin which will take another two days. On the fifth day, it will be given to the CAP centres where teachers would begin the assessment.”

In order to avoid the delay that had occurred in the summer examinations, the varsity is well prepared. “We have already prepared the list of teachers, their personal details including email ID and contact number, and have given it to the online assessment company. Also, we have created the login IDs and passwords of each teacher who will be included in assessment and the same has been passed on to them.

They can start the assessment process,” said an official.
