Mumbai: With just a month to go before the Class 10 board exams are held, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has sent a letter to the Maharashtra St-ate Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) to reconsider its decision on oral examinations, which were scrapped this year.

The letter highlights concerns raised by parents, according to whom orals exam are a way to build the child's overall personality and score better marks. “The board, before taking such a huge decision, should have thought about the implications,” a parent said.
