State to provide health facilities to tribals, needy
Mr Mahajan claimed that the doctors would reach to 3.5 lakh people by organising this camp.
Mumbai: Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis on Sunday said that the government would provide health facilities to tribal people and the needy in the remote areas of the state through the Atal Health Camp. He was speaking at the inauguration of Atal Rural Health Camp at Nanduri in Nashik district.
Mr Fadnavis said that the government would provide all sophisticated and latest treatment to the needy patients who are unable to afford the treatment, as it is expensive.
The chief minister said, “Researches are continuously taking place in the medical field. Sophisticated tre-atment methods are available, however, because of expensive treatment, people are unab-le to avail them and hence suffer, therefore, we have decided to take responsibility of providing all types of treatment free of cost to the needy patients.”
He inaugurated the ‘Janjati Gaurav Yatra’ and released a short film. With this yatra, the government will reach out to the tribals. The yatra would create awareness amongst the new generation.
Medical education minister Girish Maha-jan said that the aim of the health camp, which is supported by industry, organisation and charitable organisatio-ns, is to provide health facilities to the tribal people in remote areas.
Mr Mahajan claimed that the doctors would reach to 3.5 lakh people by organising this camp. Medical education minister said, “Patient-s will be provided free treatment and free medicines.”
The government of India had recently co-me up with Ayushman Bharat Yojana which is claimed to be world’s largest health plan by the government. The government had said that under this sche-me, 50 crore people ha-ve got the facility of treatment up to 'five lakhs. Free treatment is also provided to poor patients under the Ma-hatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojana, a scheme of the Mahar-ashtra government.
