FYJC general merit list out for students to verify details
The FYJC merit list contains students' information along with their ranks. The cut-off list will be announced later.
Mumbai: The general merit list for admission to FYJC in all six regions, including Mumbai and Pune, was announced on Tuesday by the state education board.
With the deadline for the online registration having been June 30, a large number of candidates applied online for FYJC admissions between June 16 and 30, across all six regions.
The FYJC merit list contains students’ information along with their ranks. The cut-off list will be announced later.
Students can check their name, rank and other details from FYJC regional websites. In case of any mistake, they can report to their nearby guidance centres for correction. A written application needs to be submitted before 6pm on July 6 for students’ details to be corrected.
Deputy director B.B. Chavan said, “The FYJC corrected merit list will be accessible to download on July 7. Depending on correct details, the merit list will be prepared by the education department.
The FYJC merit list will be prepared by considering various factors such as students’ categories, the colleges preferred by them and the merit obtained by them.”
Students can choose any stream such as arts, science, commerce or higher secondary vocational courses (HSVCs) for FYJC admissions 2017-18.
They can get admission into aided/ unaided/ permanent unaided and self-financed colleges. Four FYJC merit lists will be released for the admission process 2017-18.
As per the department, 2.51 lakh aspirants applied for FYJC admissions.
The education department has confirmed up to 236,166 seats. All of them are eligible to get admission in the 11th grade.
The FYJC first merit list will be declared on July 7 and the students will be able to confirm their admisisons and seats in the junior colleges by July 13.
