NCP will be mumbaikars' voice: Nawab Malik
The Mumbai BJP chief, Mangal Prabhat Lodha, too has set his target to win all 36 seats in upcoming Assembly election.
Mumbai: After taking charge as Mumbai’s Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief, Nawab Malik on Tuesday said that his party’s Mumbai unit would become the voice of the city adding that the party would perform well in the upcoming Assembly election in comparison to 2014.
The remarks come at a time when chief minister Devendra Fadnavis claimed that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would make a clean sweep in Mumbai.
The Mumbai BJP chief, Mangal Prabhat Lodha, too has set his target to win all 36 seats in upcoming Assembly election. Speaking with The Asian Age, Mr Lodha said, “We have a good network of party workers on ground level. We will certainly win all the seats.”
Mr Malik said that the BMC, government and concerned authorities should address all problems pertaining to Mum-baikars. However, all of them are not performing their duties, as a result, the Mumbaikars have to face hardships. “The problems of the Mumbaikars are not being heard and addressed, therefore, Mumbai NCP unit will become the voice of Mumbaikars,” Mr Malik said.
