The high temperatures and rising humidity levels are likely to continue this week, says the IMD.

Mumbai: Even as the temperature in Mumbai comparatively dipped on Tuesday, the increased humidity levels in the city made the weather uneasy for some. Weather experts have stated that the present weather system over the western region has led to increased humidity, due to which the temperatures have gone down. In coming days, the minimum temperature of Mumbai is also going to dip with 1-2 degrees.

The maximum humidity level on Tuesday in Mumbai was recorded at 92 per cent, 21 per cent higher than normal average for November. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, a trough running has been noticed between East-central Arabian Sea up till North Madhya Maharashtra. “This could lead to light rains over Madhya Maharashtra and coastal areas. While chances of rains in Mumbai are less,” said an IMD official.
