Police summon second owner of Mojo's Bistro
Seven people in total have been named in the FIR registered at NM Joshi police station.
Mumbai: The NM Joshi police has summoned Duke Tulli, a co-owner of Mojo’s Bistro pub. Police sources said that upon the questioning of Tulli, arrests would be made. Tulli, a Nagpur-based businessman, is likely to come to the police station on Monday. On Saturday, the pub’s other co-owner Yug Pathak, the son of an ex-IPS officer, was arrested for charges under Section 304, which deals with culpable homicide not amounting to murder, among other sections of the Indian Penal Code.
On Saturday, the police included the names of Mojo’s Bistro’s owners to the FIR that was registered against the owners of 1 Above and its managers in the case on December 30, and booked them under Section 304. Mojo’s Bistro is owned by Tirupati Restaurants and Café Private Limited, of which Pathak and Tulli are the directors.
Earlier in the week, the police had questioned the co-owners of Mojos’s Bristo in relation to the case registered against their restaurant for unauthorised construction under the Maharashtra Regional Town Planning (MRTP) Act.
Ahmed Pathan, senior police inspector of NM Joshi police station told this paper, “We have sent summons, and Tulli will be soon be arrested. Tulli is in the city, and is not absconding.” When asked about the absconding owners of 1 Above — Kripesh Sanghvi, Jigar Sanghvi and Abhijeet Mankar, Mr Pathan said, “The locations of the three owners are not yet established. A lookout notice was issued against them last Saturday.”
Now, seven people in total have been named in the FIR registered at NM Joshi police station, wherein the accused have been booked under section 304, 337 (causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others), 338 (causing grievous hurt by act endangering life) of the IPC.
