Didn't seek justice for stalker: Shaina
Shaina NC claimed that her Twitter account was hacked.
Mumbai: Adding fuel to the ongoing controversy about alleged stalking of a woman by the son of a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader in Haryana, BJP spokesperson Shaina NC on Monday tweeted a photo of the girl, demanding “justice” for the boy. However, she later said that her Twitter account had been hacked and somebody had “played mischief” with her.
“So-called victim Beti with Vilar Barala. Justice should be done with Subhash Barala’s son. Story as true as Jasleen Kaur of Delhi and Rohtak Sisters,” Ms Shaina tweeted initially.
On August 5, Varnish Kundu, the daughter of an IAS officer, was allegedly stalked through the streets of Chandigarh by Vikas Barala, the son of Haryana BJP president, and Vikas’ friend Ashish Kumar.
However, Ms Shaina received criticism for her tweet supporting the accused. Immediately after, she tweeted, “Just gt access back to my account. Some mischievous folks had hacked the account. Please ignore any activity on my account of past few hours.”
When contacted, Ms Shaina said her account had been hacked. “Somebody had played mischief with my account. I have deleted the comment after it was brought to my notice. I have also raised the issue with Twitter,” she said.
According to Ms Kundu, on August 5, Vikas Barala and his friend had followed her in a car, and tried to force her to open the door of her car. She called the police as she was allegedly being chased by the two men, and they were arrested on charges of drunk driving and stalking. Ms Kundu then took to Facebook to share her ordeal.
